Stray Cat's Trust

This is a failed experiment in foreshortening/perspective, and I considered not posting it at all, but honestly, I really liked the mountains, so just please don't comment on his enormous hand/foot. Plus, once I recognized that it was a failure, I kind of stopped trying on the background, hence why the archway is really kind of uneven and messy. (Also, the paper curled at the corner as usual, which is why things are especially wonky down there.)

Also, don't ask why the ruins are a million different colors of stone.
The answer: man-made structures are REALLY BORING to paint, and I had to mix it up somehow.

Anyway, this is Minuit (not that it looks a whole ton like him), my favorite recurring character. "Stray Cat's Trust" is the name of his chapter in Crooked Candle. Probably one of my favorite chapters, too, though it probably doesn't deserve that. >.>

Seriously there has to be a way to pick up the shading on skin?! Neither my camera nor my scanner will do it.

Minuit is crazy and he talks too much, but that's okay because his brother Darte is mute and doesn't talk at all. They balance each other out, maybe. That is supposed to be a wolf charm in his hat, because of Rafe. Who also didn't talk. Hm. I sense a trend. At least Darte is still alive, for the moment.
